Modern art, sculptures, handmade crafts and uniquely designed clothing were all under one roof at San Diego’s One + One Trunkshow and Fundraiser. The Trunkshow showcased over forty of San Diego’s most talented artists, crafters and designers as they showcased their creations at Barrio Logan’s Glashaus Art and Design Collective. The Glashaus, originally an old glass factory, complemented the show with its own art collection, including a series of stunning metal sculptures. The Trunkshow offered more than art pieces to engage whole families in the fun. Parents sipped NeuroBliss, while children created their own pieces of art through face painting, button making, yarn spinning and balloon art. The best part was that all of the proceeds went directly to the Museum School, a tuition-free public charter school. The Museum School offers a progressive education focused on “learning to learn” with a curriculum rich in art, movement, music and media arts.
