Crunch Time

For college students across the nation, dreaded finals week is right around the corner. Follow these helpful tips to best prepare and still maintain your sanity.

-       Ask your professor for help – Check his/her office hours and get any questions answered before you start studying. They created the test and are experts on the subject. They can help you gauge what information is most important and what they will be looking for on test day.

-       Schedule out your studying – Make a schedule of which subject you are studying for at which time. Don’t forget to schedule in short breaks and time to exercise to break up long sessions.

-       Study with a NeuroSonic – NeuroSonic features the key ingredients of L-theanine and caffeine that work together to promote alertness and focus. NeuroSonic will help you concentrate during late night study sessions.

-       Form effective study groups. Study groups can help everyone work out difficult concepts and quiz each other. Don’t study with your close friends – you will undoubtedly get distracted.

-       Focus on your notes. Many cumulative finals span numerous chapters and hundreds of pages of reading. Instead of trying to re-read, focus on your notes. Assuming you actually went to class, your notes will cover what was most important.

-       Flash cards – Large scientific terms, formulas, major concepts and keywords can be easily memorized using flash cards. Flash cards are much easier to carry around then books or piles of notes so you can keep them with you for quick study sessions on the go.

-       Explain the concept to someone else – A great way to see what you know is to explain the main concepts to an outsider. Whatever part you stumble on is what you need to focus on.

-       Get enough sleep – Many students are tempted to pull all nighters before their finals. This is usually a big mistake. Without a good rest,  you won’t be able to think clearly and won’t perform at your best. Get a full night’s sleep before your hardest tests with a little help from NeuroSleep. NeuroSleep has magnesium and melatonin that will improve your quality of sleep and help you wake alert and sharp for finals.

-       Arrive early for the exam – You will already be nervous, so don’t compound things by rushing in at the last moment.

-       Be confident – If you have studied hard and attended class, you are ready for your test. Visualize it going well and afterward, have a Bliss and relax and revel in the fact that you did your best.
