NeuroTrim and Tone Tips

Like many others, you may be feeling as though the high level of motivation you had just a few weeks ago is quickly waning. Follow these tips to keep yourself motivated to get the results you want.

-Switch it up! Boredom breeds trouble in the world of getting in shape. Try new, but still healthy, foods.  Same tip applies to working out. Try a new class, new cardio equipment or new strength training technique.

-Journal. At the end of the day take a moment to jot down your thoughts. Remind yourself of your fitness goals and see how you’re feeling about it all. Make sure to write down one thing you did that day to work towards your goals.

-Picture it. Pull out old pictures of yourself when you were at the size you are working towards. Tear out magazine clippings of the lean abs you want or the shoulders you’re pressing towards.

-Hire help. If hiring a trainer 3 days a week isn’t realistic for you hire one for an hour. Most trainers will be happy to design a great program for you to do on your own.

-Buddy up. Choose an accountability partner. Maybe you don’t have a friend who is also trying to get in shape but you do have one that is trying to spend more time studying or spending time with their kids. Check in with each other every few days or once a week.

Most of all, don’t give up! Every small step takes you towards your goal! You will be so happy you did!
