Take Your Mark, Get Set…

March 18th, 2010

Runners from all over California and parts of the USA are gearing up for Sunday’s LA Marathon – the 25th Anniversary of the 26.2 mile race that travels from Dodger Stadium to ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. And a half a million folks are expected to turn out and cheer on their favorite racers!  Entertainment along the course will take the shape of live music and dance, radio station giveaways, and a giant party at the finish lane, adjacent to the Santa Monica Pier.
For runners, heed these tips to make your race your own personal best!
Dress Appropriately
Temperatures can vary through the day, so bring along some throw away clothes. You can wear your throw away clothes in the morning and when the race starts you can discard the clothing on the side of the road. Volunteers will pick up the discarded items and the Salvation Army will be onsite to collect them..

Arrive Early
Give yourself plenty of time to get to the starting line. Parking, public transportation and access points can get very congested before the race. You can use the extra time to prepare yourself both mentally and physically for your upcoming marathon.

Stay Hydrated

Keep in peak physical condition before, during and after the race by drinking lots of water. NeuroAqua has a high pH balance and is full of magnesium so it neutralizes acid and provides premium hydration.
