From the city that gave us Wolfgang Puck, is it any real surprise that LA has spawned another culinary craze? Yep, we’re talking about LA food trucks – the phenomenon so popular it just got its own show on the Food Network – The Great Food Truck Race. We are constantly surprised by the variety and plethora of food trucks hitting the City of Angels. Some of the highlights below (paired with Neuro Drinks, of course!)

The Grilled Cheese Truck – Such gourmet delights as melted pepper jack cheese, smoked tomatoes, adobo chicken and arugula – this is not your mother’s grilled cheese sandwich. Since grilled cheese is pure happiness, drink with NeuroBliss.

With the excitement still in the air from this summer’s World Cup, soccer is more popular than ever. This past weekend, the high-intensity competition was at its best at the 3v3 Street Soccer Tournament. Held in Portland, Oregon, over 120 local soccer players gathered to partake in a fun-filled afternoon of friendly competition, great music and rousing team spirit. With all of the rigorous activity taking place, Neuro was there to refresh and replenish the exhausted teams. NeuroSport quenched the thirst of the players and restored minerals lost during rigorous exercise, while NeuroSonic kept them alert and focused throughout the game. With the hype of a roaring crowd, the intensity of a competition and hip-hop music pounding – it’s no wonder Las Vegas folks gathered to check out Sheikh Battle Swagger – one of the most exciting break dancing street competitions in the nation. Over 200 b-boys, b-girls, and break dancing fanatics attended the event to see the best break dancers battle it out to win the SHIEKH title. Crews from all over Las Vegas, including America’s Next Best Dance Crew, Super Cr3w, came out to compete just for the love of the sport. To help boost the energy and performance of the competitors, NeuroSonic was on hand to help the breakers stay focused while battling it out and keeping an eye on the prize. As if the Santa Monica 3^rd Street Promenade isn’t enough of a shopping mecca, August 6^th marks the opening of the Santa Monica Place, the newest addition to the promenade retail and dining environment. Located between the Promenade and Santa Monica Pier, this new shopping center is a modern destination custom-created for the fashionable and flavorful Santa Monica state of mind and will be home to dozens of stores like Bloomingdales, Tory Burch, Barney’s CO-OP, Betsey Johnson and Kitson, just to name a few. Restaurants opening include La Sandia, Ozumo, Pizza Antica and Sonoma Wine Garden. To celebrate the opening of the store, Santa Monica Place will have all day events on the 6^th including live performances by The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers-LXD (as seen onThe Oscars and So You Think You Can Dance) along with Outer Circle Crew and musical performances by KCRW DJ Jason Bentley and DJ Vala. What a great way to welcome a new venue to the Santa Monica community!
