In this video Marina explores the origins of the word speed. Speed came from the old English word Sped which originally meant prosperity, success, ability or quickness.

Marina educates us on how the word evolved into modern English to eventually mean velocity.

Marina then explains how she wants to “speed” through the chore of cleaning up her dirty room but she doesn’t have enough energy or focus.

After a Neuro Sonic Marina is able to focus. She quickly and efficiently cleans her room and makes everything nice and tidy.

Neuro was hanging out at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills for the start of their summer pool parties. The ultra modern hotel offers a secluded pool with shaded boothes and palm trees. The pool was a little cold considering the weather was refusing to admit that it was summer so most of the crowd stuck to the tables. The poolside dining for the Sunday parties specializes in “DETOx and RetoX.” The menu offers a variety of foods designed to help guests recover from a Saturday night in Hollywood but they also offer a full bar (that carries Neuro) to offer the popular sunday afternoon mimosas and Bloody Marys.

The first half of the party was DJed by Kid Japer.

Kid Japer laid down some chill beats and mixed in some subtle but impressive turn table work. Kid Japer focused mostly on a laid back progressive trance feel that helped build the ambiance. He was followed up by the house DJ who played more hip hop as the sun started to fade.

The Neuro Smart car was in attendance!

The Neuro Smart Car will be at all the special events and tastings. When there isn’t an event it can be spotted driving around Santa Monica. If you see it on the road give a wave!

There will be a “DETOx-RetoX” pool party from 2pm-8pm every Sunday all summer! Come out, grab some Kobe Sliders, have a dip in the pool and chill out in the sun with a Neuro Bliss.

A wide variety of wines, chocolates and Neuro Drinks was offered along with a gourmet sampling by Daniel Boulud. The extraordinary candle lit hall was decorated by Napa Valley Vintners, Godiva Chocolates, Artisanal Gourmet Cheeses and Manhattan Ferrari and Maserati Dealers. Their efforts along with the amazing food and drink made the evening especially wonderful.

The guest list was very exclusive. Kristin Davis was the honorary chair of the event. Many of film, television and movie stars showed up to support St. Jude. the audience was entertained by Tony Bennett playing all of his classics with a full orchestra.

Even among a dazzling display of Godiva chocolates and fine Italian wine, Neuro still shone through. Neuro was on all of the tables lit by candle light and there was a full Neuro bar. Due to such a high demand, the butlers started carrying bottle of Neuro along with the bottles of wine.

Connor Paolo, Eric van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl, enjoyed the Neurogasm.

Tony Sirico of Sopranos’ fame was also a big fan.

The event was a huge success! The Capitale was a stunning event hall and everyone enjoyed themselves.

The Wait is Almost Over!

The second night of dusk till dawn partying on the Pure One Yacht was just as amazing as the first.

DJ Mateo took a break from the New York and Miami club scene to throw down some beats and some impressive turntable work. He is DJing all the Neuro parties through the weekend. The music and vibe on the dance floor was a little mellower than the night before but still pretty crazy. The music mashed up top 40 Hip Hop and some classic 80’s and 90’s rock and really got the crowd going. Early on in the evening there was even a little bit of celebrity karaoke…

There was a very eclectic mix of people on the boat. David Furnish was in attendance for the entire evening. Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt were back along with Hayden Panettiere. Designer Melissa Obadash made an appearance. Model/journalist Peaches Geldof was also in attendance. Marina from www.hotforwords.com was enjoying some Neuro. Quentin Tarantino was spotted on the boat as well. The variety of guests made for an interesting and star studded evening.

The bar was serving up a wide variety of Neuro cocktails and case after case of champagne! The favorite drinks of the evening were Goose N’ Gasm (Grey Goose vodka and Neuro Gasm) and Neuro Sonic martini. The energy from those drinks helped fuel the party until past dawn!

As it gets closer to the weekend more and more people are arriving and the parties will get even better. James Blunt is arriving today and will be on the yacht. Brad and Angelina are rumored to be making an appearance. Check back in soon for more updates!

The festival has started and the city is full of industry people. Every wall is covered in movie posters and every corner has a film crew setting up. Paparazzi are everywhere and seem to be taking pictures of everyone. Neuro has been on deck of the Leopard 46 Pure One super yacht! It is the only one at the show and is the envy of the town.

Last night was the first big Neuro party on the boat. It had a bit of a quiet start. Apparently in France their nights start a little later than they do in Los Angeles. Around 1 AM the boat got mobbed by paparazzi. There were so many camera flashes that it felt like an invasion. Through the mob of cameras came Paris Hilton and her entourage.

Paris enjoyed some Neuro Sonic and mingled for a while as the party really got going. The party raged on until 4AM or so when every finally retired to sleep up for another big day of movie screenings.
