Last week, major buyers for stores and boutiques gathered at the T and A showroom in downtown Los Angeles for LA Market Week. Representing over 4,500 lines, this event attracted designers, buyers, and retailers from all over the globe, including the buyers for Barneys’s, and NBA star, Tyson Chandler. T and A showroom hosted a party where the fashion forward industry celebrated the newest lines and best finds of this seasons fashion with Neuro Drinks. NeuroBliss kept everyone smiling from ear to ear, NeuroSonic helped them focus on the finding the best new designs, and NeuroGasm kept the party going late into the night. The Neuro beverages made a huge impression with their mixed drinks and contemporary look. It sounds like Neuro is taking the fashion world by a storm!

2010 marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the original Playboy Club in Chicago. To celebrate, Playboy chose 50 of the hottest nightclubs throughout the world to open their doors for one night, June 11th, as a “Playboy Club” and celebrate in true Playboy fashion. Among the clubs chosen was the Barracuda Nightclub in Portland, OR, and Neuro was there to keep the party bumping all night long. Partygoers danced alongside Playboy Playmate Katie Lohmann on a dance floor illuminated with historic images and videos from the classic Playboy Clubs. Off the dance floor everyone enjoyed Neuro Smart Shots (Vodka and NeuroSonic) and NeuroBliss with Rum to keep their smiles’ ear to ear. Neuro offers a NeuroGasm toast to all the Playboy fans that made these parties possible from London to Las Vegas to New York to Ibiza, even if you just read it for the articles…

Luau in the Desert

The Tiki Gods came out to play last weekend in Paradise Valley, Arizona, for the annual Altitude Luau. Arizona may not have an ocean but the Altitude Luau more than made up for it with tropical Neuro libations, fire throwers, Polynesian dancers, hula dancers and much more. NeuroGasm combined the infectious tunes of DJ P-Body and Elvis Before Noon turned out to be the perfect concoction to keep everyone dancing all night long! Guests had even more fun knowing that they were supporting a good cause – all proceeds from the event go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

Muddy Waters..and Hills and Canyons…

They ran in costumes. They ran in teams. They ran with friends and family. They ran for charity. Some ran solo. Some got stuck. Some were in shape. Others were, er -um, working on it. One thing in common at Irvine Lake this weekend: all the runners got down in the mud! The Irvine Lake Mud Run has to be Southern California’s most challenging and humorous of marathons. The 3.8 mile jaunt was no walk in the park! Instead, runners took to up and down hilly terrain, an obstacle course featuring a foamy human car wash, through a hundred and fifty foot mud pit – and came out the other side! And on the other side was Neuro Drinks – handing out ice cold NeuroSport to replenish the mud runners, NeuroAqua to quench their thirst and NeuroSonic to give them some mental focus for the rest of the day! That consisted of an outdoor summer concert from Dramarama and Gene Loves Jezebel; on Sunday, Fishbone took the stage. Some runners hit the showers first; other preferred to wallow in their own…mud. There was $1000 in prize money given out – not just to the fastest, but to Best Costume as well! All in all it was a weekend to remember in the Santiago Canyon. Whether you ran, crawled, or stood and cheered – you felt united in the mud …and it was, strangely, exhilarating!

Aces High

Shouts of “all in,” “raise” and “pocket aces” echoed throughout UCLA’s Ackerman Grand Ballroom last night at the Project Nicaragua Poker Tournament. UCLA students battled for prizes including paintball passes, an Amazon Kindle, an Ipod Shuffle and more! A deejay kept the energy high and after drinking some NeuroGasm, the players were up and dancing in between hands. NeuroSonic helped poker players stay focused to calculate the odds and make the best calls. NeuroBliss kept smiles on everyone’s faces no matter what cards they got – it’s hard to tell when someone is bluffing if they are always smiling! The tournament benefited the Project Nicaragua Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing medical relief and advancing the level of healthcare in Nicaragua. With help from their chapters at UCLA, UCSD, Harvard and Ohio State, Project Nicaragua has been able to pass legislation to have Nicaraguan rice enriched with Folic Acid to help prevent disease.

Housewives Love Neuro

Just off State Street in San Diego this weekend, housewives of all ages and fans of the hit Bravo franchise Real Housewives of Orange County (and New York, and New Jersey and Atlanta…) gathered for some Neuro cocktails at a special book signing by Orange County Housewife Vicki Gunvalson. More Than a Housewife follows Gunvalson’s life overcoming obstacles such as raising children as a divorced mother, life-threatening illnesses within her family and transforming herself from a stay-at-home mother to a full-fledged successful entrepreneur.
Equally inspiring for guests that clamored for a peak at the realty star were the Neuro Drinks served at the event. Neuro cocktails kept the crowd happy as did NeuroBliss and NeuroGasm alone. Fellow co-star Lynne Curtin made a surprise appearance to the delight of the guests and quickly helped herself to some Bliss, explaining that she was normally happy and that NeuroBliss would make her, nothing short of, blissful. We couldn’t agree more.

Golf is usually a quiet and reserved sport, but at Sunday’s Athletes First Classic, it was anything but. Local golf enthusiasts joined pro football players including Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers), Brandon Jacobs (New York Giants), Mark Sanchez (New York Jets), Matt Cassell (Kansas City Chiefs), Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) and many more for a raucous 18 holes of fun. They were treated to NeuroGasm cocktails, a DJ, massages and a pole dancing demonstration! The off course activities were more than enough for many of the players to forget about golfing and spend the afternoon sipping on NeuroGasm and vodka, while watching the dances. A few of the football players even took their own turn on the pole! The tournament was not just about fun and games, it was supporting a great cause – The Orangewood Children’s Foundation. The Orangewood Foundation has been serving abused and neglected children in the area for over 25 years.

A New Spin on Fashion

A high point of the week was undoubtedly the Chris Benz show at Drive In Studios followed by an exclusive after-party hosted by Susan Sarandon, at the table tennis club she co-owns in Gramercy Park. Spin was the venue for much celebrating of fashion’s elite, tasting another amazing collection from the young and charismatic Benz, who doesn’t just not shy away from the use of color, but boldly embraces it. The still-life scene of models holding poses allowed guests to truly examine the artistry in the cuts and designs of his pieces, mixing school-girl plaids with glammed-up sequins and oranges and mauves combined to dizzying effect. Sarandon made an appearance at the show as well as the after party along with new Benz fan Kelly Osbourne, who, was christened Fashion Week’s It Girl and carried Neuro with her wherever she went!
While most of the beautiful crowd were too busy enjoying NeuroGasm and champagne and NeuroBliss and Grey Goose to get serious about table tennis, some folks did get into the game creating an atmosphere that had the ping pong balls flying across the room and sometimes landing in a Neuro cocktail!

The region is known for great wine, but The Santa Barbara Film Festival is quickly garnering a name for itself in independent film. The Festival features a wide variety of independent films and drew such actors and filmmakers this year as Sandra Bullock, James Cameron, and Jeff Bridges. Among the Hollywood big shots was local hero Carlos Marquez and the movie he directed and produced, Breaking News. Marquez celebrated before his premiere with his cast and crew including local newscaster John Palminteri at Joe’s Restaurant with NeuroGasm cocktails. After the party, Marquez and his crew headed to the premiere with NeuroBliss to keep him calm and collected as his film competed against other entrants including Middle Men directed by George Gallow, Flying Lessons directed by Derek Magyar and many more!
