Time for Heroes celebrity picnic fundraiser for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

Neuro was at the 20th annual Time for Heroes benefit that raised 1.3 million dollars for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The foundation started in the early 80’s when Elizabeth Glaser was unknowingly infected through a blood transfusion and passed it on to her children before she was diagnosed. The foundation has fought for almost 30 years to bring awareness to the disease’s effect on children. The international foundation has helped children with HIV ling longer and healthier lives and helped lower the mother to child transfer rate. They are continuing to fight to help eradicate this disease.

This event was a celebrity picnic and carnival complete with games, rides and a performance by Miley Cyrus. It took place outside on a sunny beautiful June day in Los Angeles. Many big stars came out to show their support and enjoy the festivities.

The event was sponsored by Disney and lots of the Disney Channel and Disney movie stars showed up including Milly and Becky Rosso.

The picnic raised lots of money and helped spread awareness of pediatric AIDS. Please check out this organization and help them make a difference for infected children.
